About
I have always been an organiser.
My love of order and organizing for others began with Tupperware – yes Tupperware! With three small children under foot I took on what I thought would be a part-time career. This quickly turned around though, within 3 months I achieved area manager status, had a company car and many other ladies in my team. Why did I do so well? Because I loved the organisation and order those little plastic containers gave people.
From here I moved on to working in creative wardrobes. The idea and the ability to re-create the space in your wardrobe to suit your style and your needs is a life changing alteration. Changing the layouts of wardrobes for each person, whether for children who needed shelving over hanging space, or more space for work suits or blouses, was a great experience. It allowed me to make this space, normally seen as routine and tedious by some, an area of the house that became a personal space that could be enjoyed. Not only this, but I was more able to make it clutter-free, organized, and efficient for the owners.
From here I worked in the Building industry for 10 years managing subcontractors and trades through various stages of roof building and roofing, which was also the time period when I also gained my Graduate Certficate in Management.
Then from 2005 to 2012 I bought and ran my own Storage company (SSO Handling and Storage) which specialized in Pallet racking Compactus Units, Longspan shelving and all areas of large warehouse shelving and equipment. Essentially providing large scale shelving systems into areas such as Parliament House, Defence, AFP and smaller private businesses.
In the end, sorting, filing, selling & de-cluttering, and helping people to find peace in renewed order is part of me, not just my job, and I love it.
